GLS is one of the leading parcel delivery services in Europe. The logistics company recently modernized its corporate design, and introduced a new logo alongside refreshed colors. Revolver Type Foundry provided the custom font solution to go with the new identity. At the heart of the GLS brand are its customers \u2013\u00a0shippers and recipients alike. The brief asked for a corporate typeface that can serve as the backbone of all communication, adding to the desired modern and user-friendly look. Furthermore, it had to be fit for the digital age. Lukas Schneider took his Newson as a basis, a sans serif that balances technical and humanistic characteristics for outstanding legibility. It perfectly matches the targeted attributes: dynamic, courageous, lively, and personal. While the design was customized, too, most tweaks were on the inside: Revolver Type Foundry enhanced the fonts with manual TrueType hinting, ensuring flawless performance across all relevant media types.

J\u00fcngst hat das Logistikunternehmen seinen Markenauftritt modernisiert und ein neues Logo sowie frische Farben eingef\u00fchrt. Revolver Type Foundry lieferte die ma\u00dfgeschneiderte, zum neuen Erscheinungsbild passende Schriftl\u00f6sung. Im Mittelpunkt der Marke GLS stehen die Kundinnen und Kunden \u2013 Versender und Empf\u00e4nger gleicherma\u00dfen. Gefragt war eine Hausschrift, die als R\u00fcckgrat der gesamten Unternehmenskommunikation dienen kann und zum modernen und benutzerfreundlichen Look beitr\u00e4gt. Au\u00dferdem sollte sie den Anforderungen des digitalen Zeitalters gewachsen sein. Als Basis nahm Lukas Schneider seine Newson, eine Serifenlose, die technische und humanistische Merkmale f\u00fcr herausragende Lesbarkeit vereint. Sie entspricht perfekt den angestrebten Attributen: dynamisch, mutig, lebendig und pers\u00f6nlich. W\u00e4hrend auch der Schriftentwurf angepasst wurde, betrafen die meisten Optimierungen das Innenleben: Revolver Type Foundry stattete die Fonts mit manuellem TrueType-Hinting aus, um eine einwandfreie Darstellung \u00fcber alle relevanten Medientypen hinweg zu gew\u00e4hrleisten.
